Bolton Mets Tour 2000 Ireland

May 2000 saw the annual Bolton Mets RLFC tour, this time to Bray in Ireland.  The tour was slightly blighted in that the games were cancelled by the Irish sides the same week as the trip.  However, undaunted the Mets set out to Bray to sample the local ale and to improve their golf and snooker.

One or two of the touring party managed to disgrace themselves sufficiently to make the tour book of shame and some were foolish (read drunk) enough to do it in the presence of cameras.

Such behaviour included:

Playing charades on the ferry with what turned out to be a deaf social club on an outing and wondering why they were better than us at miming.

Breakdancing at every opportunity and clearing dance floors with regularity.

Fortunately there aren't many photographs suitable for publishing.  Except for these.  Click on the thumbnails.

And a special mention goes to Neil for managing to get his arms around this bueller in May 2000.  Sorry love if you're reading this.
